With over 20 years’ experience in obstetrics, Dr Jillian Spilsbury has a strong passion for providing expectant mothers specialised care and understanding during their pregnancy and birth journey.

Jillian was instantly drawn to obstetrics and paediatrics whilst studying medicine at The University of Newcastle. During this time, she met her husband and had three children together. She has worked and studied overseas, including moving to England for her postgraduate training. Further to this, she completed two years of training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney before moving back to Newcastle to practise.

Jillian now works at the Newcastle Private Hospital as a Visiting Medical Officer.

Jillian’s strong reputation in the Hunter region has been built on the understanding and caring nature that she provides women during their journey. She has been trusted for over 20 years and her passion for bringing new life to the world has seen many women continuingly seek support from Jillian.
